What is ER at Home?
ER at Home is a virtual telehealth program that allows patients to schedule a visit with an emergency department provider for minor illnesses and injuries from the comfort of their home using a smartphone, computer or tablet. The program allows patients to speak with a provider and potentially avoid a trip to the emergency department while getting the care they need.
Are there specific hours?
Yes. ER at Home is available seven days a week from 12 to 8 p.m.
What if I have a serious health issue?
ER at Home is for minor illnesses and injuries. Anyone suffering from serious symptoms such as chest pain, severe bleeding, broken bones or a stroke, should call 911 and get to the emergency department immediately. ER at Home is not a substitute for critical situations. During a telehealth visit, the provider may determine the patient needs to go to the ER for an in-person visit.
