Buffalo Endovascular opening OGH office

Olean General Hospital has announced that Buffalo Endovascular and Vascular Surgical Associates opened a new office at OGH Oct., 3, 2017.

BEVSA’s practice is focused on surgical care and treatment of disorders that affect the arteries and veins including peripheral arterial disease (PAD), removal of plaque/blood clots from vessels that carry blood from the heart to the arms, legs and brain, aortic aneurysms, hemodialysis access, and venous disorders. The group offers traditional surgical options as well as all the cutting edge, minimally invasive treatment options. BEVSA physicians practicing at OGH include Sonya S. Noor, MD, FACS, G. Richard Curl, MD, FACS, and Ivan Dominguez, MD, FACS.

Dr. Noor is a clinical assistant professor with the Department of Surgery, University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine. She has considerable experience delivering highly skilled care in all areas of endovascular surgery and traditional open surgery. She is fellowship-trained in peripheral and endovascular surgery and is board certified in vascular and general surgery. Dr. Noor is a member of the American Medical Association. She is past president of Western New York Vascular Society, and is a Diversity Committee member of Eastern Vascular Society. She is president elect for ACS WNY local chapter. Dr. Noor is affiliated with Buffalo General Medical Center, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital Buffalo. She is also medical director of the Amputation Prevention Program at the GVI where she is also a physician board member.

Dr. Curl is a clinical professor with the Department of Surgery, University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine. He is well respected and known to the community for delivering complete vascular care and has considerable experience delivering highly skilled care in both open and endovascular surgery.

Dr. Curl is fellowship-trained and board certified in vascular and general surgery, a member of the American Medical Association, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, the American Academy of Surgeons, the International Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, Western New York Vascular Society, Buffalo Surgical Society, and the Eastern Vascular Society. Dr. Curl is affiliated with several Western New York hospitals including: Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute Buffalo, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst and Children’s Hospital, Buffalo.

Dr. Ivan Dominguez attended Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with a dual degree in biology and physiology. He decided to pursue general surgery at the University of Buffalo. Dr. Dominguez then chose to pursue vascular surgery at the Albany Medical Center. After completing his fellowship and becoming a board certified vascular surgeon, he returned to Buffalo, joining his mentors, Dr. Curl and Dr. Noor. For the past five years, he has established a very robust clinical practice in several sites including Gates Vascular Institute, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Degraff Memorial Hospital, and the Erie County Medical Center. Dr. Dominguez has a special interest in limb salvage working as a wound care specialist. His other areas of expertise include treatment of complex aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, and comprehensive treatment of venous and lymphatic disorders. Dr. Dominguez has recently been inducted as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

The BEVSA Olean office will be located at OGH. The group will be accepting patients starting Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017. Appointments can be made at 716-375-7035 from the hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
