Behavioral Health Services

The BHU has set a high-standard for safety and confidentiality while providing short-term psychiatric services to individuals 18 years of age and older.

Staffing consists of the most qualified Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Counselors, Licensed Practical Nurses, Safety Assistants, SocialWworkers and support staff. Each patient receives an individualized plan of care based on his/her medical, psychiatric, and social needs. Programs consist of individual or group therapy sessions including topics such as: psycho-education, pastoral care, occupational therapy, discharge planning, medication education, smoking cessation, nutrition and recreation. Family meetings are held to encourage a smooth transition upon discharge.
