Information For Visitors

All visitors to Olean General Hospital should stop at the Main Information Desk in our lobby. On weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. a concierge is available in the main lobby to answer questions and help direct patients and visitors. The concierge or information desk attendant can provide the room number for the patient you are visiting along with any visiting restrictions.

Doors to the main Hospital entrance are locked from 11 p.m. - 5 a.m. Anyone who needs to access the hospital during these hours must enter through the Emergency Department entrance.

Visiting Guidelines

Please remember that most patients tire easily. Lengthy visits and too many visitors can wear them out. Please use your discretion. To reduce the risk of infection both to visitors and patients, children under the age of 12 are not permitted to visit patients, EXCEPT immediate family members of OB patients. Family members and other visitors should not visit if they have any signs of illness such as a cold, sore throat, skin infection, diarrhea, fever or other flu-like symptoms

• Medical/Surgical Floors, ICU, Sub-Acute: Visiting hours are 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
• Pediatrics/Maternity: Open visitation for immediate family. On our Pediatrics unit, one parent may spend the night with his/her child.
• Dialysis: One visitor per patient during treatment. No visitors may be present during a changeover.
• Behavioral Health Unit: Visiting hours are 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Parking

Free parking is available to visitors in designated parking lots at all entrance to the Hospital. Olean General Hospital also offers complimentary Valet Parking, weekdays between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cafeteria

Cafe 515 is located in the lower level and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Food and beverage vending machines are accessible 24 hours a day.

Wireless Internet Access

Wireless internet access is available to patients and visitors throughout the hospital. Patients and visitors are responsible for bringing their own computer and connecting to the network.

Gift Shop

A gift shop is available near the front entrance to the hospital on the first floor and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Located on the ground floor outside of Cafe 515
