Olean General Hospital Welcomes New Physician

Olean General Hospital (OGH) today announced the addition of Sam J. Samuel, MD, PhD, as its newest physician to join the hospital’s medical staff. The addition of Dr. Samuel will enhance established services, specifically gastroenterology at Olean General Hospital.
“As part of our ongoing strategy to recruit more physicians to Olean General Hospital, I am extremely pleased to welcome Dr. Samuel, who is an experienced physician that will provide high-quality health care to our patients,” said Timothy J. Finan, president and CEO of Upper Allegheny Health System and member hospitals Bradford Regional Medical Center and Olean General Hospital.
Dr. Samuel is a board-certified Gastroenterologist and will be working in Olean General Hospital’s Digestive Disease Center. Dr. Samuel completed a residency in internal medicine at Rochester General Hospital and an internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York. He is fellowship-trained in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition from State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. Dr. Samuel also received a PhD in microbiology from SUNY at Buffalo.
