OGH First in Area to Offer Therapeutic Hypothermia Treatments

Olean General Hospital recently became the first hospital in the region to begin using a revolutionary treatment option for certain cardiac arrest patients called Therapeutic Hypothermia Treatment. This process cools the patient’s body temperature to between 89.6°F and 93.2°F to protect the brain from damage caused from the cardiac arrest.
