Dr. Aaron Hill Receives 2nd Quarter Golden Stethoscope Award

Aaron Hill, MD, board certified general internist, is the recipient of Olean General Hospital’s quarterly 2009 Golden Stethoscope Award. Timothy Finan, president & CEO, and David Prince, OGH Board president presented the Award at the July Board meeting.
Dr. Hill became certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2002. He received his Doctorate in Medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York and performed his residency at Queens Hospital Center of the Mount Sanai School of Medicine.
Prior to his arrival at the Olean Medical Group in 2003, Dr. Hill worked at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Chenango, New York. He is currently practicing as a Hospitalist with Exigence Group, LLC at Olean General Hospital.
Congratulations to Dr. Hill on this award as he is a most deserving recipient. Dr. Hill has earned the affection and admiration of the entire OGH family, medical staff and their patients.
The Golden Stethoscope Award was created to recognize physicians who exhibit exceptional levels of professionalism, integrity and teamwork in caring for patients and families and in interacting with hospital staff members and other physicians. A plaque in the lobby will feature a photograph of physicians receiving the Golden Stethoscope award.
Criteria for the award include:
· Demonstration of extraordinary patient care
· Caring and compassionate communication
· Active listening skills which foster teamwork/builds special relationships with patients and staff
· Willingness to teach/excellence in teaching
