Job Description
This position is responsible for transcribing and interpreting medical reports, verifying correct medication dosages, ensuring correct spelling and use of medical terminology, ensuring correct punctuation and grammar, making necessary corrections and/or alerting physicians to errors/discrepancies under the supervision of the transcription supervisor.
Associates Degree in Medical secretarial or related field or graduate of an approved transcription program preferred. Certified medical transcription preferred. Above degree and/or certification and 1 year recent hospital experience or in lieu of formal education will consider 2+ years of recent hospital experience
