OGH Named to Top 100 Hospitals In the Nation for Performance Leadership Improvement
Olean General Hospital was named one of the nation's performance improvement leaders by Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals.
Olean General Hospital and its senior management team were recognized for being one of a hundred hospitals making the greatest progress in improving hospital-wide performance over five consecutive years (2002-2006). The 2007 Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals®: Performance Improvement Leaders have set national benchmarks for the rate and consistency of improvement in clinical outcomes, safety, hospital efficiency, and financial stability. Olean General Hospital and its medical staff have made major strides in increasing the quality and efficiency of services locally.
The study — Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals®: Performance Improvement Leaders, 5th Edition — examined the performance of more than 2,800 U.S. hospitals on a variety of clinical, financial, operational and patient safety criteria to identify the 100 winners. The hospital assessment project, which dates back to 1993, was formerly called the Solucient 100 Top Hospitals program.
